On any given day, 15 people are killed and another 1,200 more are injured because of a distracted driver. A National Transportation Safety Board survey recently revealed that at any given moment, almost one percent of drivers on the nation's roadways are texting, emailing, browsing the Web or otherwise using a handheld electronic device. Sadly, this rate is on the rise and so too are the number of distracted driving accidents.
Distracted driving is serious and life threatening, not just to you and your passengers, but also to others on the road. The attorneys at Jones Ward PLC frequently represent people who have been seriously injured by a distracted driver. More often than not, such accidents could have been prevented if the driver simply focused on the road.
