Bobby Dedmon was ejected from his motorcycle during an accident with a motor vehicle in Mayfield, Kentucky. The accident occurred on Clarks River Road when Vicky Duff, attempting to cross the eastbound lane, pulled into the path of Mr. Dedmon. Mr. Dedmon was unable to stop in time and collided with the driver's side of Ms. Duff's vehicle, ejecting him from his motorcycle. Both drivers were taken to Lourdes Hospital for medical treatment. According to reports, Mr. Dedmon was later airlifted from Lourdes Hospital to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Kentucky State Police are investigating the accident and the condition of Ms. Duff and Mr. Dedmon are unknown.
It is imperative that motorist keep an eye out for motorcyclist. Sometimes they can be hard to see, but, as this sad story illustrates, the consequences of such crashes are many times tragic.
